Lower School Speech and Language Therapist (Temporary)
Location: New York, NY 10023
The Abraham Joshua Heschel School is seeking a temporary, full time lower school speech and language therapist for grades 1-5. The position will begin on or about August 25, 2021 and end on or about December 15, 2021.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, teaching a small 4th grade reading group with a focus on language, Providing push-in support/team teaching during reading & humanities for grades 2-5, informally screening individual students, and collaborating with classroom teachers and other learning specialists to embed language goals into the curriculum and provide guidance for supporting students in the classroom
Graduate degree in speech-language pathology or related and at least 2 years of school-based experience is required. Must have CCC-SLP and TSSLD.
The applicant must have a Master’s degree in speech-language pathology and a minimum of 2 years of school-based experience is required. Must have CCC-SLP and TSSLD.
